- Search the provided sites below using the topic that you put on your goal sheet.
- URL addresses are the address to get to specific websites. You must perfectly type a URL or it will not take you to the correct address. Search Engines can help you find the correct URL addresses. URL addresses start with http://. Some have www. At the end they include a domain name. Go to Step 1-Domain Names and learn about domain names at what they mean.
- Next, watch Step 2 - Narrowing Your Search. Practice searching the web using a topic of your choice. Start broad and then narrow it down according to what you learned.
- Watch Step 3 - Be a URL Detective. Now take your research topic and begin evaluating sites that you think you want to use for it. Make sure that you explain whether or not you think a site is reliable or not. Don't just put yes or no.

- Watch the video called Citing Sources that is added below then click on formatting citations to learn how to create MLA citations. All reliable sources that you take facts from should be cited including the URL and author. Use Son of a Citation Machine or Easy Bib in Google Add ins to help you cite your source correctly.
